Children are an exciting new band on Kemado Records that play with so much speed and intensity that you can’t help but get excited about them.

Last Saturday they played outside of the KCDC Skateshop to 500 screaming teenage skaters. They even encited a moss pit full of size 28 inch waisted, adrenaline filled kids slamming away. Their brand of thrash/speed metal fit perfectly with the energized skate crowd. This was by far one of the coolest shows that I have ever witnessed in Williamsburg.

For those you that missed out, I truly feel sorry for you.  All of N11th from Bedford Ave to Wythe was blocked off for this event. Filling the street was a huge Emerica (skateshoe) bus, Redbull bus, pro skaters doing demos and signing autographs, and the bands playing on the street. I even spotted Dustin Dollin (pro skater) being chased by hundreds of kids as he signed numerous autographs.

This band needs to go on a skate rock tour now. It makes you wonder how long till Thrasher Magazine finds out about them. Check out this video of them playing at this party.

Later on in the evening they played another backed show with labelmates, TK Webb & The Visions.tk-webbunionpool08.JPG

Be on the lookout for TK’s debut album, titled “Ancestor”, hitting the shelves in September. It’ll be a garage boogie/blues stomper. Before TK Webb release two solo albums on Social Registry to a massive amount of critical acclaim from every top Brooklyn artist. Now he has teamed up with a full band to give us a fuller sounding album that will excite any new and old rock n’ roll fan.
